Institutional Effectiveness
and Administrative Assessment at The University
of Texas-Pan American is supported by the Office
of Institutional Research & Effectiveness (OIRE).
As such, OIRE collaborates with Administrative
and Educational Support (AES) units across
campus to identify and measure progress towards
achieving expected outcomes that align with
institutional mission, vision, values, and
strategic goals as well as
accreditation requirements. The results of
these efforts help to inform decision-making and
actions to be taken, promoting a culture of
institutional effectiveness, continuous
improvement, and constituent satisfaction.
The four
primary purposes for assessment:
Improve the functions of the
administrative unit
Inform department heads,
administrators and other stakeholders about
the contribution and impact of the unit to
the mission of the institution.
